UPPER MISSOURI CAMERA CLUB
Anyone interested in photography is welcome to become a member of the club. No particular experience or expertise is required. More information is available here.
To find out if the club is for you, attend a meeting. You are not expected to join until you have tried a meeting or two to see what the club is like. Meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of each month from September through May. The usual meeting place is the James Memorial Center.
The first meeting of each month is devoted to digital slide and print judging. All members may bring in prints and/or send in digital slides to be judged by club members. This is another opportunity to get some constructive criticism and help with your shooting and printing.
The second meeting of the month is devoted to an instructional presentation. This may be a power point or DVD program, a demonstration of Photoshop, discussion about shooting problems or a talk by someone on a particular subject. This is the time to bring your camera and flash or some photo examples and get help on some of the problems you may be having.
Once each year the club holds its annual slide and print show. This is open to the public at no charge and gives everyone an opportunity to show the best work that has been produced during the year. It is also a good time to learn the finer points of print mounting and presentation. The date of this show varies, but it is usually held at the James Memorial Building.
*Upper Missouri Camera Club is a member of the Photographic Society of America (PSA) as well as the North Central Camera Club Council (N4C).
